To be fair, I usually give bloggers a month between posts before I take them off my blogroll.
Not everyone can update weekly, imho.

True, and I’m sure we could all agree on standards such as that, but it would really help to have one universal location to keep up on it.

Eh, that’s a WAR-specific community blogroll — though at least it *is* a community blogroll, heh.
And like Snafzg, I usually don’t remove folks from either my reader or my blogroll until it’s relatively clear they’re not going to update anymore.
On a more petty level, I’ve also removed a few people from my blogroll who have been quite happy to get traffic generated by me without being nice enough to return the favour — I’m not talking the big famous names, just other bloggers like me. I don’t mind free lunches, but I do like reciprocity and I don’t like being used.
